# Maps

Transform your server's landscape with our custom-built environments.

Welcome to the mapping documentation section. Here you will find all the necessary information to properly install, configure, and manage **NS Studios** maps and MLOs on your RedM server. Our environments are meticulously optimized to provide the highest level of immersion without compromising server performance.

### How to use this section

On the left sidebar, you will find dedicated subpages for each map available in our catalog. Inside each specific page, we provide:

* Exact Coordinates: Location details and teleport commands to easily find the map in-game.
* Dependencies: Any specific framework requirements or necessary scripts.
* Conflict Prevention: Information regarding the specific area edited to help you avoid overlapping maps.

### General installation guide

While some maps may have specific instructions (detailed on their respective pages), the standard installation process for **NS Studios** maps follows these basic steps:

1. Download: Retrieve your purchased asset from your Cfx.re Keymaster account.
2. Extract: Extract the downloaded file and locate the main folder (ensure it contains the `fxmanifest.lua` file).
3. Upload: Move this folder into your server's `resources` directory. We recommend creating a dedicated folder named `[ns-maps]` to keep your resources organized.
4. Configure: Open your `server.cfg` file and add the command `ensure [folder_name]` (or `ensure [ns-maps]` if you are loading an entire category folder).
5. Clear Cache: It is highly recommended to clear your server cache before restarting to prevent any ghosting or missing textures.
6. Restart: Restart your server to apply the changes.

### Important notes

* Game Builds: Ensure your server is running a recent game build and updated server artifacts. Older builds may cause texture rendering issues or crashes with modern MLOs.
* Encrypted Files: Remember that core 3D models (`.ydr`, `.ytyp`, `.ybn`) are protected by the Cfx.re Escrow system and cannot be modified or opened in external software.
